SHORT BIO: I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. Even though I’ve lived in Austin for many years I still haven’t lost my “Noo Awlins” accent! I still feel like a stranger in a strange land. In 1984, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography. While at SEU I received a number of honors, including being recognized in Who’s Who in American Universities, named Outstanding Photography Student for 1984 and editor of the yearbook. In 1987, I went to graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1991 with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography. I am a past president of Texas Photographic Society, a past vice-president of Lone Star Photographic Workshops and a past director of PhotoWork Gallery in Austin.
